Access Brown County provides low-cost public transportation to Brown, Bartholomew, and Monroe county residents by appointment Monday – Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Any resident may request a ride. Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Children age 5 and older may ride alone with a signed Parental Consent Form.

We serve the needs of Brown County residents who need transportation.
- ACCESS is a curb-to-curb service. No assistance will be provided beyond the curb. If you require further assistance, you should be accompanied by a personal care attendant.
- ACCESS is a shared ride service.
- Drivers are thoroughly trained in safety and passenger assistance .
- All ACCESS vehicles are wheelchair accessible.
- Ride requests must be made a a minimum of 24 hours in advance and as far out as 3 months.
- You may ride from any origin in the ACCESS service area for any legal purpose as long as a reservation has been made.
- Cost is $5 one way in county, $7.50 one way out of county.
- Residents age 60 and over ride for FREE.
